History
Just as popular interest in the past has never been greater, so History at Parkhall Integrated College is thriving. We have designed our Key Stage 3 curriculum to allow pupils to foster an enjoyment of the subject and gain a better understanding of themselves, their fellow human beings and current affairs throughout the world. We want to make the study of the past accessible, stimulating and enjoyable as we strive to show pupils that the past influences the present. We are committed to showing young people that History is all around them and not just in books. To this end, we organise visits to Carrickfergus Castle and the Somme Heritage Centre.
Our aims of building knowledge, developing skills and enhancing understanding of the world around us continue at Key Stage 4. We offer two examination courses - GCSE and Entry Level and our pupils consistently achieve success in both.
