GCSE Music Trip

Students from the GCSE Music class along with selected year 10 students accompanied Mrs McCarthy and Miss Kennoway to the Ulster Hall on Friday night to hear the Ulster Orchestra perform Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz, one of the GCSE Music set works.

They heard an illuminating pre-concert talk given by the conductor and the artistic director of the orchestra about the background to this piece.

Our students enjoyed the power of hearing the Ulster Orchestra performing live, and this has given them a deeper understanding and knowledge of one of the pieces that they are studying.

They also enjoyed socialising with each other and eating some delicious pizza.
