Our year 8/9 and 10/11 girls football teams took part in the Electric Ireland Super Schools Festival.

The junior team where competing against 18 other schools and finished top of their group after winning 4 and drawing 1 game to send them into the semi finals.

The senior team where faced with a tough group but did themselves proud by winning 2 games and marginally losing 2 (1 of which was against the eventual winners; Edmund Rice College.)

The junior team faced Ballyclare High and after a stalemate game it went to penalties. Darcy and Grace stepped up and scored their 2 whilst Ballyclare missed 2 out of their 3 to send us into the final.

The final saw us face Grovenor Grammar School which turned into another very tight game, finishing 0-0.

Grovenor missed their first penalty which allowed birthday girl Ella Kitson to step up and score the winning penalty to crown us Super Schools Champions 2023!
