Year 9 football success

A difficult away trip to Cullybackey College in the semi-final of the Mid Antrim Schools Cup for the year 9s. Both defence and midfield were caught sleeping on two occasions where Cullybackey worked their way through and finished off two good chances. The team were up against it and didn’t look like scoring until Ali Al took a shot from 30 yards out which went over the goalkeepers head and into the net. This gave the team a lifeline. A resurgent start to the second half, the team came out fighting and created a number of great chances only to being denied by the Cullybackey goalkeeper. Parkhall finally broke the Cullybackey defence and turned the game around from 2-1 down to 3-2 up. Parkhall killed the game off with five minutes to go with a goal mouth scramble to win the tie 4-2 and progress to the final.
