Year 9 It's all about me

Year 9 pupils were invited by Antrim Enterprise Agency to get involved in their It’s All About Me Programme. This cross-community, intergenerational programme took them back to basics – and they learnt new skills across the four areas of DIY, sewing, cooking and money management. On the day facilitators such as Men’s Shed Antrim, the Urban Community Chef and So Sew showed pupils how to sew on a button and turn up a hem, cook easy and healthy pizza and popcorn chicken, mend a cycle puncture and rewire a plug. Antrim and Newtownabbey Enterprise Agencies taught pupils the importance of budgeting and living within their means. New friendships were forged and valuable life lessons learned.
