On Friday 17^th June, Kara McCrea and Maddison Lanigan, accompanied by Miss Bowden, went to the 40 year celebration of Integration event held by NICIE in Belfast City Hall. This was an event held for all the integrated schools in Northern Ireland.

They enjoyed a speech from the Lord Mayor, Cecil Linehan, who campaigned to start Integrated Education, and fantastic performances by Forge IPS choir, Rowandale IPS choir and entertainment from magician FizzWhizzPop, who herself went to an integrated school. The event was hosted by national broadcaster Kathryn Wilson, who went to Forge IPS then Lagan College. 

It was a wonderful day, rounded off with fantastic food and cake! Well done to the girls on taking part in the event and celebrating integrated education’s anniversary.
